        MyReportComments uses only essential cookies necessary for the site and app to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
      

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — for example, whether you are logged in — making it easier and more useful for you to return to the site.

Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which work in the same way but store data in your browser rather than as a file. MyReportComments uses both cookies and browser storage; this policy covers all of them.

2. Cookies We Use

We use only essential (strictly necessary) cookies. These cookies are required for the site and app to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core features. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under South African law.

3. Cookies We Do Not Use

We do not use:

Advertising cookies — we run no paid advertising and have no ad network integrations
Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking tools
Social media cookies — we have no social login buttons or embedded social media feeds on the main site
Third-party tracking — no third party sets cookies on your device through our site

If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy, add a cookie consent banner, and request your permission before setting those cookies.

4. Browser Storage in the Free Tool

The free downloadable HTML tool uses your browser's localStorage to save your class list, generated comments, custom phrases, and settings between sessions. This data:

Is stored only on your device — it is never transmitted to our servers
Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the tool's built-in clear/reset options
Is not accessible to any other website or third party

5. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to the MyReportComments web app. The free HTML tool does not require cookies and will continue to work using localStorage.
