MyReportComments ("we", "us", "our") is an online tool built and operated in South Africa that assists teachers in generating professional school report comments. The service is accessible at myreportcomments.com and any associated subdomains. For any queries relating to these terms, contact us at hello@myreportcomments.com.
You must be at least 18 years old and a registered educator, school administrator, or educational professional to use the paid features of MyReportComments. The free tier may be used by any individual for evaluation purposes.
You may use MyReportComments solely for the purpose of drafting and generating school report comments for learners under your direct professional care. You agree not to:
All comments generated by MyReportComments are drafts intended for review and editing by a qualified educator. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any comment before it appears on a learner's official report. We make no warranty that generated comments are appropriate, accurate, or complete for any specific learner or context.
New users receive 10 free credits with no registration required. One credit equals one generated comment. Free credits are provided for evaluation purposes and are non-transferable.
Paid credit packs are available for purchase as described on our pricing page. All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Purchased credits do not expire. Credits are tied to your account and are non-refundable except as described in Section 4 (Refunds) below.
The Pro Annual plan grants unlimited comment generation for the duration of the subscription period. Annual subscriptions are billed once per year and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the renewal date.
We offer a full refund on unused credit packs within 7 days of purchase, provided fewer than 5 credits have been used from that pack. To request a refund, email hello@myreportcomments.com with your order reference. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Annual subscriptions are refundable in full within 14 days of initial purchase if no more than 20 comments have been generated. No refunds are issued after these periods.
All phrase bank content, templates, algorithms, design, branding, and software underlying MyReportComments are the exclusive intellectual property of MyReportComments and are protected under South African copyright law. No portion of the service may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
Any custom phrases, class lists, or inputs you enter into the service remain yours. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Your use of MyReportComments is also governed by our POPIA Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The free HTML tool processes all data locally in your browser — no learner data is transmitted to our servers. The web app uses Supabase for secure cloud storage, consistent with POPIA requirements.
MyReportComments is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated comments will be suitable for any specific purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, MyReportComments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behaviour. Upon termination, unused paid credits will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
