The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act) requires all South African e-commerce businesses to publish certain information. This page fulfils those requirements for MyReportComments.

3. How to Complete a Purchase
The following steps are required to purchase credits or a subscription on MyReportComments:
- Visit myreportcomments.com and create a free account using your email address
- Navigate to the Pricing section and select the credit pack or plan you wish to purchase
- Review the order summary, including the total price in ZAR inclusive of VAT
- Click "Buy now" — you will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page
- Enter your payment details on the Stripe checkout page
- Review your order one final time and click "Pay" to confirm
- You will receive an on-screen confirmation and a receipt by email
- Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment
You have the opportunity to review and correct your order at step 6 before payment is finalised. Do not click "Pay" until you are satisfied with your order.
4. Payment and Security
All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. MyReportComments does not store, access, or transmit your card number, CVV, or any banking credentials.
Security measures in place:
- All pages served over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- Stripe handles all card data — we receive only a transaction confirmation
- 3D Secure authentication applied where required by your bank
- Fraud detection via Stripe Radar
5. Refunds and Cancellations
In accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008:
- Credit packs: Full refund available within 7 days of purchase, provided fewer than 5 credits have been used
- Pro Annual: Full refund available within 14 days of purchase, provided fewer than 20 comments have been generated
- Processing time: Approved refunds processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method

6. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute:
- Contact us first — email hello@myreportcomments.com. We aim to respond within 1 business day and resolve disputes within 10 business days.
- If unresolved, you may escalate to the National Consumer Commission at thencc.org.za
- For POPIA-related complaints: Information Regulator of South Africa at www.justice.gov.za/inforeg
- For payment disputes, contact your bank or card issuer directly
7. Transaction Records
A record of your transactions is available in your account dashboard. You may request a copy of your full transaction history by emailing hello@myreportcomments.com. Records are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by SARS.
8. Technical Requirements
MyReportComments is accessible via any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — version released within the last 2 years) on desktop or mobile. No software installation is required for the hosted web app. The free HTML tool is a standalone file that runs entirely offline in your browser after the initial download.
